PC game with ranking

KilligFree

An arena shooter in 1999 style: fast frags, twelve weapons, jump pads – and an ELO ranking at Clanwirtschaft.

KilligFree is a fast first-person arena shooter built with Unreal Engine 5 and inspired by the classics from around 1999. You pick up weapons, health and armour on the map, use jump pads and dodge jumps – and whoever reaches the frag limit first wins. Play offline against up to 16 bots or online via IP address or Steam.

Seven game modes from Deathmatch through Capture the Flag to King of the Hill, eight arenas and a 19-mission campaign keep things varied. Anyone logged in to the game with their Clanwirtschaft account plays for ELO – separately for each game mode, with a ranking, leaderboards, weapon stats and a match page with a kill log.

To play, you need a free Clanwirtschaft account and a community that has activated the game.

Rulebook

KilligFree: rules & gameplay

All details reflect the current state of the game. Numeric values are for game balance and may be adjusted.

The match

  • A match runs until the frag limit: whoever reaches it first wins. The default is 25 frags in Deathmatch, adjustable from 1 to 100.
  • Frags are your kills minus suicides – if you hit yourself with your own weapon or fall out of the world, you lose a point.
  • In a tie, whoever died fewer times comes out ahead.
  • You start with 100 health. Health packs give +25 up to 100, mega health +100 up to 199, armour +50 up to 150.
  • Picked-up items respawn after a fixed time: health and ammo after 20 seconds, armour after 30, mega health after 45 seconds.
  • After a match, the next one starts automatically.

Game modes

ModeRules
DeathmatchFree-for-all up to the frag limit (default 25)
Team DeathmatchRed vs blue, every kill counts for the team (default 50 team frags)
Last Man StandingLimited lives (default 3), full loadout – the last one standing wins
Capture the FlagBring the enemy flag to your own (default 3 flags)
InstagibOnly the ray gun, one hit kills, no items
Gun GameEvery kill gives you the next of ten weapons – whoever lands a hit with the sword at the end wins
King of the HillWhoever stands alone in the moving zone scores a point every second (default 60)

In Gun Game, a suicide costs you one level, and ammo regenerates. In King of the Hill, kills don't count; the zone moves on every minute and glows white (free), green (you), red (opponent) or orange (contested).

Everyone carries the sword. While you hold the block, slashes from the front bounce off; shots and explosions from the front deal only a third of their damage. Frozen opponents move at half speed and jump lower. The Worldbreaker is only found on DM-Reaktor – it only respawns two minutes after being picked up, and everyone is told who has it.

Power-ups

Power-ups last 30 seconds. The remaining time is shown in the HUD above the weapon bar, and your character glows in the power-up's colour.

Campaign

The year is 2189: the KilligFree League fights in decommissioned industrial facilities around the gas giant Korvan. As nameless recruit 7734, you work your way up to the title fight against champion Vex – and beyond.

  • 19 missions in five chapters: Recruit, Pro League, Title Fight, The Shadow League and Ice Age.
  • Every mission has its own map, game mode, opponents and goal – such as 8 frags against two rookies, 3 flags against a bot team or 15 frags in a duel against a final boss with extra armour.
  • A briefing explains the story and the goal; after a win, the next mission is unlocked.
  • In Last Man Standing, the mission is lost as soon as you are eliminated.

Offline and online

  • Offline against bots: you choose the map, game mode, up to 16 bots and their skill yourself.
  • Hosting a game: via Steam, the connection works without port forwarding, and you invite friends with Shift+Tab. Without Steam, others connect via your IP address, port 7777 (UDP).
  • With a Clanwirtschaft account, you list your game in the public game list; it appears in the game under “Open games” and on the website.
  • Players can also join a match in progress.

Ranking and ELO scoring

  • For scoring, log in to the game with your Clanwirtschaft account; the password is never stored. You can also play without an account.
  • A session is one match. It is scored if at least 2 logged-in players take part and the match was played to the goal. Bots and guests appear in the final table but don't get a rating.
  • Everyone starts with 1200 ELO; players are compared in pairs by placement. ELO is tracked separately for each game mode – Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Last Man Standing and Capture the Flag.
  • Anyone who leaves a match early counts as last. In team modes, all members of the winning team win together.
  • Without an internet connection, the result is saved and reported the next time the game starts.
  • The platform shows the ranking, frags per minute, accuracy, best streak, leaderboards, favourite weapon and, for every match, the final table, kill log and weapon stats. You appear on the ranking after 3 scored matches.
