PC game with ranking

Mischka Cars

Top-down combat racing: rockets, mines, nitro – and a garage between races.

Mischka Cars is a fast-paced top-down 2D combat racer in the tradition of the 16-bit racing classics. 10 to 20 cars race across automatically generated tracks; up to four players share one PC in split-screen, up to eight play online, and AI at four difficulty levels fills out the rest of the field.

Between races, you invest your prize money in the garage on weapons, tuning and repairs. Anyone logged in with their Clanwirtschaft account races for ELO points – with a ranking, track records, a player profile and a race report for every session.

To play, you need a free Clanwirtschaft account and a community that has activated the game.

Rulebook

Mischka Cars: rules & gameplay

All details reflect the current state of the game. Numeric values are for game balance and may be adjusted.

Modes & scoring

  • Championship: a series of 10 generated tracks that get bigger towards the end. Single race: one race on a track of your choice. Depending on track length, you'll race 4 to 8 laps.
  • Every placement earns prize money – $1,500 for 1st, $1,100 for 2nd, $850 for 3rd, down to $90 for 20th.
  • The championship standings are your total prize money; ties are broken by your best single-race placement.
  • Starting capital: $600 in a championship, $2,500 in a single race.
  • Starting grid, chosen by the host: winner starts last, random, or qualifying by fastest lap.

Lives & damage

  • Every car has 5 lives per race. After the fifth destruction, you're out.
  • After an explosion you're out of action for 2.5 seconds, followed by 2 seconds of invulnerability.
  • Damage carries over beyond the race. If you don't repair, you start the next race with fewer lives and less armour.

Garage: weapons & tuning

EquipmentQuantity / PriceEffect
Front rockets6 for $150Two rockets side by side, fired forward
Homing rockets2 for $400Track their target on their own
Rear rockets6 for $150For anyone chasing you from behind
Mines4 for $120Stay put on the track
Oil slicks4 for $130Send opponents into a 1.3-second skid
Nitro3 for $2202 seconds of boost

Tuning is available for the engine (4 levels), armour (4 levels) and ram bumper (3 levels). Repairs get more expensive the more your car is tuned. AI drivers shop too.

Tracks

A generator builds circuit and figure-eight tracks in three sizes and four themes: meadow, desert, snow and city.

  • Jump ramp: take it too slowly and you'll crash off the edge, losing a life.
  • Bridges: the upper and lower levels are separate – hits only affect your own level.
  • Tunnels: the roof hides cars and weapons.
  • Slippery patches: ice on snow tracks, oil on city tracks.
  • Level crossing: on city tracks, a train crosses the road – a collision causes heavy damage.

In the track editor, you build your own courses, test them with a trial run, and race them as single races – online too.

Teams & online races

  • 2 to 5 teams. Team points are the combined prize money of all members; friendly fire is on. AI drivers are distributed across the teams.
  • Online, the host computes the race. If a player loses connection, their car continues under AI control.

Controls

Your car handles the throttle itself – you steer, brake and fire.

Ranking & ELO rating

  • A session is a whole championship or a single race. It counts if at least 2 logged-in players take part.
  • Everyone starts at 1200 ELO; comparisons are made pairwise by placement. Single races count half as much as a championship.
  • Team sessions feed into a separate team ELO; fixed teams are detected automatically.
  • Without an internet connection, the result is saved and reported the next time you launch the game.
  • The platform shows the ranking, championship wins, race wins, podiums, track records, favourite weapon and tuning style. You appear on the ranking once you've completed 3 rated sessions.
